On Wednesday 5 December, St Stephen’s Catholic College welcomed the 2019 year seven students, for an orientation day in preparation for their first year of secondary schooling.
At the college’s final assembly and thanksgiving mass on Friday 30 November, the 2019 Social Justice Committee presented the Christmas hampers to St Vincent de Paul for distribution to local residents. Incoming President and Vice-President, Sienna Cheesman and Arwen Rose presented the hampers to representatives from St Vincent de Paul.
Mrs Anne Serra from Rosie’s (Friends on the Street) attended assembly on Monday to receive a donation from St Stephen’s Catholic College. Presenting the cheque to Mrs Serra are executive members from the Student Representative Council, Annalisse Troncone (President) and Brianne So Choy (Vice-President).
At the recent Mossman 7’s competition, St Stephen’s u13 Netball Team were victorious, scoring the highest points in the round robin and then winning the final against Mareeba State High School 11-5. St Stephen’s Catholic College attended the Remembrance Day commemoration service held in Mareeba on Sunday. Andrew Close sounded the last post, Deborah Hermanus recited the poem “In Flanders Field” and Jamie Malcolm sung the National Anthem.
